Edward Angelini-Cooke Ph.D, LCSW, M.Ed, CST (He/Him)
Many of my clients come to therapy for various different reasons; however, they all desire some form of change. We discover what types of changes they would like to see and together work towards that goal.
While my approach to therapy is tailored to the client’s needs, I do have a niche working with the LGBTQ+ community, relationship therapy, sexual disorders, and chronic illnesses. I am a level 2 trained Gottman therapist, an active member of the American Association for Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and the National Association for Social Work (NASW). I have also served as a co-host for a podcast called Cubs Out Loud, where I speak on various sexuality and relationship topics.
I have been working towards creating therapy groups for the LGBTQ+ community. I have also advocated on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community for mental health awareness on various social media platforms. My future goals include publishing articles highlighting struggles facing the LGBTQ+ population when seeking help for various mental health and sexual disorders.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Anthropology from University of Delaware (GO FIGHTING BLUE HENS!) and master’s in Social Work and Human Sexuality Education from Widener University. In May 2023, I received my PhD from Widener University. I also serve as an adjunct faculty member for both of those institutions.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the states of Delaware (#Q1-0011894), Pennsylvania (#CW023503), and Florida (#3626; FL: Telehealth only).

Marc Messner LCSW, M.Ed (He, Him)
My approach to counseling stems from my beliefs that clients can navigate through the challenges of their lives by developing connections with others. Each client brings to the table their own unique experiences and expertise in their own life. As a counselor, I use an integrated therapeutic approach when working with clients. This means that I use various theories in session so that a unique intervention can be created.
As a counselor, my therapeutic style encompasses empathy, self-disclosure, compassion, and humor. I feel that we are all ever-evolving and learn how to adapt through growth. My goal is to provide a safe and calm sanctuary where you can feel comfortable sharing your innermost thoughts and feelings without the worry of being judged. I will work in collaboration with you to find ways to manage challenges that may arise and cause distress, all while allowing you to find empowerment in those actions. Marc has extensive experience in the field of substance use and works with all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and couples. Marc has been a group facilitator in various settings including schools, workshops, and with incarcerated individuals.
I am a therapist who completed a dual degree program and achieved a Master of Social Work and a Master of Education in Human Sexuality Studies from Widener University. During that program, I also earned a Specialization Certificate in Social Work and Trauma Practice, which allows me to use a trauma-focused lens in working with clients.
Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I have recently moved back to the area from Texas. In my free time, I enjoy kayaking, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. I love to travel and spend time with my “zoo” at home, which includes three rescue dogs and a cat.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the states of Delaware (Q1-0012504) and Florida (TPSW6034; Telehealth Only).
